Planted in 1998, 10 years of planning and hard work has made this vineyard the top producer of quality Wine Grapes it is today!  And there are many possibilities here if taken a step further.  The location is just a few miles off I-57 would make a excellent location for a Winery / Restaurant / Bed and Breakfast or some combination there of.  It is very well laid out and maintained.   Production from the 4 French Hybrid varieties was over 55 tons in 2006. That is enough for approximately 7,500 gallons of Wine!  At the present the crop is sold to several Illinois Wineries.  The Vineyard currently has 3,792 plants, spaced 8 foot apart in rows which are 10 foot apart with 40' spans separating the sections, for a total of 7 acres of grapes.  North to South planting provides good air flow, even through the surrounding trees for a healthy vineyard. There is also other open ground to expand.







 
The surrounding woodlands provide great recreational opportunities and lay level to gently rolling. The timber was selectively cut in 1998 and is open woods without a lot of undergrowth. There are plenty of Deer and Turkey in the area. Great setting for cabins or a wine-tasting room, hunting, or just hiking.  This tract can be purchased separately.
